A Cincinnati Tree Service That Started in the Canopy
Priority Tree is a locally owned tree service headquartered in Milford, Ohio. Incorporated in 2015 by ISA Certified Arborist Andrew Wilson, Jr., we've spent more than a decade caring for the trees that shape properties across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky — from mature hardwoods in established neighborhoods to wooded acres on the metro's outer edges.
What started with one climber and a strong work ethic has grown into a full team, a substantial equipment fleet, and a service range that few independently owned tree services in this region can match. But the work itself hasn't changed. Every job still gets the same level of care and the same standard, whether it's a single backyard pruning or a multi-week clearing project.
The Climber Behind the Company
Andrew Wilson started climbing trees at age eight. By the time he founded Priority Tree in 2015, he'd spent more than two decades in the canopy — climbing for fun, then for work, then for a living.
Through years of training and Certified Arborist accreditation — with residential, nationwide commercial, and natural disaster response experience along the way — climbing to the top became a metaphor that extended beyond the physical ascent. It became the standard we hold ourselves to for every client we work with.
Today, Andrew Wilson leads Priority Tree as both owner and ISA Certified Arborist (OH-7178A), with an Ohio Commercial Pesticide Applicator License and a hands-on role on the most complex jobs the team takes on.

Andrew Wilson – Owner & ISA Certified Arborist at Priority Tree, #OH-7178A
Andrew is all things outdoors and brings his ISA Arborist Certification together with team building, leadership skills, and a customer-centric focus as the owner of Priority Tree. Starting in middle school, Andrew began providing lawn and landscape services to neighbors, this expanded through high-school, forming his first LLC and buying his first truck at age 16.
By the time high-school graduation rolled around, he was serving over 100 customers, many of which included tree care services. His high-school senior picture featured him holding a chainsaw, prior to moving on to University of Cincinnati where he studied at the Lindner College of Business.
Now, with many years of residential and commercial tree care experience, FEMA and Army Corps of Engineers collaboration including multi-state community and government hurricane disaster relief, he has positioned Priority Tree for both action and customer satisfaction.
Andrew takes pride in his work, no matter what the project is. From planning large-scale tree removals, working with HOAs on tree care maintenance and community projects, to installing his own backyard patio, he takes the time to do it right and enjoys the satisfaction of a job well done.
Outside of work, he and his wife, Sky, are raising three children: two boys, ages 10 and 3, and a daughter who just entered the world. His sons enjoy soccer, baseball, basketball, and their new baby sister. Family time often includes fishing at the neighborhood pond, ski trips, smash-burger dinners on the flat-top, informal neighborhood gatherings, and spending time together.
Chex Brinkman – ISA Certified Arborist, Crew Leader & Production Manager
Chex brings over 13 years of hands-on experience in the tree care industry to Priority Tree, along with valuable skills from site construction work that earned him certification as a Heavy Equipment Operator. A Cincinnati native, he grew up in Pleasant Ridge, attended Walnut Hills High School, and now lives in Hamersville with his wife of nearly three years.
On the job, Chex is contagiously enthusiastic, deeply safety-minded, and an absolute asset to the crew-always keeping things moving efficiently while looking out for everyone around him. His Boy Scout roots are still strong: you'll often find him canoeing, fishing, camping, or tinkering with woodworking in his free time. He's also an accomplished radio-controlled airplane pilot and a talented fire spinner who knows how to put on quite a show.
We're lucky to have Chex's energy, expertise, and can-do attitude on the Priority Tree team.
Zach Sweeney – Debris Logistics
Zach keeps our jobsites moving efficiently and looking clean. He operates one of our grapple trucks, loading and hauling away tree debris from trimming, land clearing, and removals. On the ground, he runs loaders to consolidate material and handles whatever heavy equipment the project needs — excavators, bulldozers, compactors, or graders. He’s the guy who makes sure everything gets done right and the property is left tidy.
A five-year veteran of the U.S. Marines as a combat engineer, Zach now serves in the National Guard Reserves, focusing on disaster response and public safety. That experience makes him a natural fit for when we’re working on post-storm disaster relief.
At home, Zach and his wife Cynthia stay busy raising their two boys and their bright-eyed 10-month-old daughter. When he’s not on a job site, you’ll likely find him outdoors — hiking in the Red River Gorge, hunting, or fishing.
Chris Chauncey – Crew Leader
Chris joined Priority Tree and quickly made his mark as a Crew Leader, bringing sharp attention to detail, strong anticipation of every step on a job, and a serious commitment to our safety standards. Though he's relatively new to full-time tree work (about two years since moving to Cincinnati), he's become a reliable and valued member of the crew.
Before tree care, Chris lived in Oklahoma, where he worked as a head cook and served as Consultant Stage Director for his alma mater, Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He graduated with a degree in Mathematics-an analytical mind that clearly serves him well on job sites.
Chris is a newlywed who, with his wife, recently adopted a boxer mix from the pound and became a new homeowner. They're happily tackling projects around the house together. In his free time, Chris loves cooking and exploring Cincinnati's restaurant scene (Rincon Mexicano in Eastgate is one of his favorites). He also has a huge passion for travel-he's visited most of the United States and has explored Mexico, Italy, Greece, and France.
We're glad to have Chris's positive attitude, quick thinking, and dedication on the Priority Tree team.
