Our Tree Planting Process
The decisions made before and during planting can affect a tree for decades. Here's how we approach the process from selection through installation.
Tree Selection
We help you pick a tree that fits the spot — and the spot that fits the tree. Our Certified Arborist considers mature size, sun exposure, soil conditions, root behavior near foundations and utilities, and how the tree will look and function ten or twenty years from now.
Tree Sourcing
We work with established commercial growers across the region to source healthy nursery stock. Most of what we plant arrives as either balled-and-burlapped (B&B) trees or container-grown — both proven, reliable methods of installing a new tree.
Professional Installation
The crew handles site prep, proper hole sizing, careful root placement, backfill, staking when needed, and an initial watering. We mulch the base properly, keeping material away from the trunk to promote healthy root development and reduce the risk of decay.
Establishment & Early Care
Before we leave, you'll receive clear guidance on watering, fertilization, and what to expect during the first growing seasons. The first two years are critical to a tree's long-term health, and we'll provide recommendations based on the species, site conditions, and time of year the tree was planted.
