Tree Removal You Can Trust in Greater Cincinnati

When a tree needs to be removed, you need confidence that it can be done safely. Whether it's close to your home, hanging over a fence, or tucked into a tight space, the right equipment and an experienced crew protect your property from start to finish.

Priority Tree has been removing trees across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky since 2015. Our team is led by an ISA Certified Arborist, and we've built our reputation on tackling everything from storm-damaged hazard trees to large technical removals other companies hesitate to take on.

Whatever your tree situation looks like, we can handle it.

Common Reasons You Might Need Tree Removal

Most people don’t call for tree removal because they want to — they call because a tree has become too risky, too damaged, or too problematic to ignore any longer.

Here are the most common reasons our customers call us:

Dead or Dying Trees

Bare branches, missing bark, fungal growth, or a thinning canopy are all signs that a tree is in decline.

Hazardous or Unstable Trees

Leaning trunks, large cracks, root issues, or storm damage can turn a healthy-looking tree into a serious risk.

Trees Growing Too Close to Structures

Trees planted too close to a home, driveway, or septic system often outgrow their space, eventually posing a risk to your home and safety.

Storm-Damaged Trees

High winds, ice, and saturated soil can split, snap, or uproot trees — especially species like ash, pine, hackberry, and locust, which we see fail most often after a storm.

Trees Affected by Invasive Pests

Invasive pests like emerald ash borer, spotted lanternfly, and Asian longhorned beetle can damage and weaken trees, sometimes making removal necessary.

You're Making Space

Adding a pool, garden, addition, or just opening up a yard often means removing a few trees.

Not sure if your tree actually needs to come down? We'll come take a look and give you a straight answer. An honest assessment is part of what we do. Request a free quote by calling 513-872-8733 or filling out our online request form.

The Right Approach for Every Tree, Every Property

There's no single "right way" to remove a tree. The safest, most efficient method depends on what's around it.

Before we start a job, we look at:

How close the tree is to your home, fence, vehicles, and other trees

The slope and condition of the yard

Whether we can get equipment in without removing fence sections or tearing up grass

The size, condition, and species of the tree itself

From there, we choose the approach that gets the tree down fastest, safest, and with the least disruption to your property.

The Right Equipment for the Job

  • Climbing: For tight spaces, sensitive landscapes, or properties where large equipment would cause unnecessary damage, our climbers dismantle the tree piece by piece using ropes and rigging systems.

  • Bucket Truck: When access allows, bucket trucks help us work more efficiently and safely, especially for larger removals near roads, driveways, or open yard.

  • Spider Lift: Spider lifts allow us to reach backyard trees through standard gates while putting less impact on lawns and landscaping than heavier equipment.

  • Crane: When a tree is too tall, compromised, or close to a structure to safely climb, a crane lifts pieces straight out and over the obstacles. We've brought in everything from knuckleboom cranes to a 120-ton crane for specialty removals.

If you've called other tree services and been told the job is too risky or too complicated, we’re happy to take a look. Difficult removals are kind of our thing.

Why Cincinnati Homeowners Choose Priority Tree

Plenty of companies will cut down a tree. Fewer will do it the right way.

Here's what sets us apart:

  • ISA Certified Arborist on Staff

Owner Andrew Wilson holds his ISA Certification, which means every quote you get is backed by real arboricultural knowledge — not a guess.

  • Fully Insured and Accountable

We carry the insurance, training, and standard operating procedures to do high-risk work the right way — and we stand behind every job we take on.

  • Transparent, Written Estimates

We believe you should know exactly what you're paying for. That's why every job starts with a clear, written estimate outlining the work and the cost.

  • Honest Assessments

If your tree doesn't need to come down, we'll tell you. We'd rather earn your trust than your one-time business.

  • Yard Protection Built In

Turf tires, plywood, and poly mats minimize the impact on your lawn. Most of our customers are surprised at how little impact a tree removal leaves behind.

  • Local and Family-Owned

Based in Milford and serving Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky since 2015. You'll deal directly with the people who own the company, not a call center or a sales rep working on commission.

We're Here to Help

From Estimate to Cleanup, We Handle It All

Tree removal is rarely just about the tree. But we handle all of it — the permits, the power lines, the cleanup, the stump, and more — from start to finish, on one estimate, with one crew.

What to Expect After the Tree Comes Down

A tree removal job isn't really finished when the tree hits the ground. The cleanup matters just as much as the cut.

Here's how we wrap up every removal:

  • Hauling

We haul all large pieces away as part of the job. Our grapple trucks make quick work of even big logs, so you're not left looking at a pile in your yard.

  • Debris Cleanup

Smaller branches and brush are cleared from the work area. Disposal is included in your estimate — no separate fee.

  • Wood for Firewood

Let us know in advance if you’d like to keep the wood and we’d be happy to leave whatever portion of the tree you'd like in a pile. We’ll leave the splitting and stacking up to you.

  • Stump Grinding

As an optional add-on, if you want the stump gone, we can grind it down — typically 6 to 8 inches below grade, or deeper if you're planning to replant.

  • Stump Removal

When grinding isn’t enough — such as for larger or uprooted stumps — we use an excavator or a skid-steer-mounted stump screw to break them apart. The screw is a rare piece of equipment in Greater Cincinnati and a real advantage on tough stumps.

  • Filling the Hole

We can fill the area with soil, finish it with grass seed and straw, or do both — just let us know what you want, and we'll add it to your estimate.

Did a Fantastic Job

“Andrew and his team did a fantastic job of removing several dead trees and trimming back a few thriving trees. They had to bring in the heavy equipment, and I was a bit worried about lawn damage, but it all turned out great!”

Carol Schafer

The Priority Tree Team Took the Tree Down Without Any Issues

“Priority Tree did a great job removing a tree that was located in a difficult area. This tree was 10' round at the base and 40' tall, and they had to work around power lines, a property fence and a garage. The Priority team took this tree down without any issues. After the job was complete the team cleaned up the area.”

Timothy Linde

Highly Recommended Company

“Andrew’s crewman was a really professional and friendly operator. He was very patient with the challenges that my property presented while clearing honeysuckle. I’ve got 25 acres drowning in it, and we made a good dent in it this weekend. Highly recommended company!”
